Your cream foundation can double as a concealer. With a cotton swab, gather a little of the foundation from the cap of your bottle. The foundation in the cap has less moisture, and is a slightly darker shade, making it a perfect concealer. Dab the cotton swab on a blemish or on dark under eye shadows, and blend carefully. Then apply your foundation and powder as usual.
Another use of your foundation is as a moisturizer. When you are in a rush or out of moisturizer, simply use a small amount of extra moisturizing crème foundation. While there is typically not enough moisturizer in these foundations for everyday moisturizing, there is plenty for that occasional emergency.
A third use for your cream foundation is as an instant temporary tan. Carefully apply a layer of foundation to your legs and arms for that instantly tanned look, without spending a small fortune and a lot of time at your local salon. Just make sure to wash it off after you get home to prevent blemishes.
Some liquid foundations have an SPF rating of at least 15 or more. Substitute your foundation as a sunscreen after carefully checking the SPF rating for a short exposure to the sun. For working in your garden for a few minutes, or a quick trip to the department store, your foundation should provide plenty of protection.
One more fantastic use for your foundation is for that instant lipstick fix. Instead of completely removing and reapplying your make up between the end of the work day, and that late night dinner you have been looking forward to, simply apply foundation to any lipstick smears or bleeding with a brush for an instant refresher.
