On a hot summer morning, start your day with a shower using an anti bacterial soap. Bacteria on your body thrives in the heat, add moisture and you have a breeding ground for odor. After drying off well, spray an all over light mist of aluminum chloride antiperspirant. Give your extra sweaty spots a bit more attention.
After dry to touch, choose a powder that is made to control moisture. Baby powders are great for this as well as talcum powders. If you plan to wear a perfume, make sure the powder compliments the perfume and never over do it. Be sure to powder lightly down the center of your back, cleavage, and creases of legs by your groin region. Those are the main areas where moisture has a tendency to collect. A light sprinkle of a feminine powder made for moisture or a talcum powder in your panties will also help keep you feeling fresh all day. Do not forget about your feet! Spray the soles of your feet with antiperspirant and if you are wearing closed shoes, toss some powder in them to help keep your feet dry.
For your face, always start with a clean fresh face. During hot summer months, if you can avoid using a foundation, do so, but if t one step of your beauty regime that you feel naked without, make sure you use a foundation that is oil free that has a matte finish like Joy Lorraine Cosmetics. You may want to try instead of using your foundation as normal, to just use a bit of concealer in troubled spots and a light powder. Keep the blush to a minimum. Summer time is a great time to break out the powdered bronzer. It gives your skin a natural sun kissed look keeping with the summer theme.
Skip the eyeliners in the hot summer months and if you use shadows, keep them light. Shadows have a tendency to crease and run, and liners run and smudge easily with the extra oil the heat helps your skin to produce. The last thing you want to have to worry about while you are out having fun in the sun is raccoon eyes. Give your eyelashes a curl with a lash curler and just hit the tips of your lashes with a waterproof mascara to give definition. Summer lips just need a kiss of shine, however protect them first with a SPF balm or lip glaze before applying any gloss. Summer should be light and fun, not burdened down by a heavy makeup or a long drawn out routine. The sun is waiting for you but it won’t wait forever. Don’t waste a minute of it!
